Shadow needs a new home because his family can no longer care for him. This friendly boy likes both dogs and cats. He can get overexcited when he meets them but he plays gently with them.

Shadow is a Lab/German Shepherd mix who just turned 2 on 9/17/24. He loves people but is anxious around children which is why his original family surrendered him (they had 2 kids) to a shelter. We recommend older kids, maybe teens & up, as Shadow can be mouthy in his excitement. He could benefit from some training in this area but he is a good boy!

Shadow has been fully vetted. He is microchipped, vaccinated, and neutered. He is also housetrained and learning to walk on a leash although he gets excited when she sees another dog & can pull towards them to make friends with them! That is why he wears a Gentle Leader leash.

When left alone in the house, Shadow doesn’t mess with furniture, shoes, or cords or anything like that. He will try to sniff food in the trash but stops when you say No. He loves jumping in cars as soon as you open the door because he gets super excited to go on adventures— he always beats me to the driver’s seat. Shadow is a bit clumsy and bumps into things but that never seems to bother him. He loooooves food. He is in good health.
